We used Sketchup and our basic knowledge of measuring, Push and Pull, and the shapes to try and recreate a gingerbread house we look for online. This for me was really fun to make especially since I could get creative with the backside of the house. It was difficult to try and create the scene around the gingerbread house so please dont mind that!
What is a GIF?
A GIF is a computer term for when you compress image files together.
How does animation work?
Animation works by repeating an image several times to make it look like it is moving. Like how we did with the Glowing button. We had to reverse the slides that lead up to it glowing so it can go back to not glowing to keep it constant.
24:Create a 3D view of your gingerbread house
We took our Gingerbread house and added a background on Photoshop. We then double clicked the layers Background and Foreground to separate the RGB channels to create the illusion of 3D.
25:Animation Button
We followed the instructions on http://www.photoshop-plus.co.uk/2011/10/05/learn-how-to-create-a-simple-glowing-animation/ to create our first animation. We used Photoshop to make the basic image of the power button using our old use of tools. Then we practiced our animation. We had to make a double copy of the animation layers, reverse a set, set the timing to forever and voila, we have our power button!
MY BROCHURE
The five softwares we used were Publisher, Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator,Sketchup. Photoshop was my favorite one honestly because its the one you could the most with, along with Adobe Illustrator. Sketchup was very cool with the Push and Pull and the slopes but that was all there was to it. Publisher is really cool especially if you want to do cards or brochures because those are the templates that has. Photoshop was fun because of all things you can do! I like how when we went freestyle and when we could brighten faces up and make that Animation button. That was very cool! I like how with sketchup we could make 3D objects like our names, I think ill do one for my Dad since he finds things like that neat.
